(Poor Cybel is in bed sick, bless her; she'll update the audiobook soon. We are quite the pair, for this was recorded flat on my back with my ankle elevated and wrapped in drippy ice.)

I can honestly say that canon will never be able to provide any storyline for Molly or Jim HALF so satisfying as this marvellous iteration of Moriarty as a human and her daemon. This AU absolutely blows me away.

Getting installments of this in my inbox was a source of unalloyed glee, I can tell you. I love Molly'n'Jim SO HARD, and find myself really wanting them to win Mycroft and Sherlock over...except that I doubt things would go well for John and Hamisha, and I can't have that.

At this point I honestly don't know what to root for, except that I &hearts Molly and Jim and want them safe.

The summary gives me such a gutpunch feeling (in a good way)--that feeling I get when I encounter a story I know I'm going to love. Thank you fo recording it. I'm downloading it now.

I am SO enjoying this series of stories. It's SUCH a clever clever central conceit, most especially the Molly-and-Jim-are-Moriarty business...seriously, I do want canon to do something great with Molly, but even if they did (and I don't think they will), it could never be a patch on this. This is just GENIUS.

As to the ankle - oh, I'm an idiot. I just fell over whilst I was on playground duty on Friday - some kid was stuck behind a fence, or whatever, and a bunch of others were all hysterical, and I wasn't watching where my feet went, and there were holes in the tile, and I just went arse over tit, parasol flying one way, handbag another, water bottle another, and then sprawled on the floor in an undignified heap. At which point the "trapped" kiddo wriggled out from behind the bars to come see the excitement, my 12/13 year old English group exploded out of the library to see if I was okay, and there was general rubbernecking. Very kind not-laughing rubbernecking, though. And I said "Ow" a lot, with feeling, and hobbled to my feet. Since I was still pretty busy I carried on walking on the ankle throughout the rest of the break and for the next few hours, then waved the munchkins off home & went to the nearby mall to post a letter and pick up a bandage. In retrospect what I should have done is go see the school nurse, but I was busy and it didn't seem such a big deal. By that evening it was excruciating, but a day and a half of R.I.C.E. seems to have done the trick - I was able to attend yesterday's ten hour tech & dress rehearsal and do the dance sequence and everything, and even ended up going to the birthday/Loy Kratong party by the river afterewards...although the mojitos may have been responsible for my conviction that my ankle was absolutely fine, at that point. We'll see how it goes today...

As always, you tell a wonderful story about what must have been a way less than wonderful event. The flying parasol really clinches the images.

Mojitos make everything better, and the R in RICE is one of my favorite cure-alls. Glad it wasn't too serious.

Oh, in case you're staying home from work to pack your foot in ice, have a rec of an awesome fic I just read:
A gen Holmes story set in the book verse and featuring girl!Watson disguising herself as a man. (You gotta overlook the part where Holmes really should notice that within 2 seconds. ;))
The writing is great, and not only did the author totally sell me on this version of Watson, she also came up with an intriguing case file! :D
