Oh, God, I &hearts this story SO MUCH, I can't tell you - I mean, I'm always loath to say "this is my favourite such-and-such", but if it isn't my very favourite story in the fandom so far, it's easily in my top three. And I'm saying that as someone who really didn't much care for Gatiss's iteration of Mycroft Holmes - I'm afraid he's one of those actors who are too inextricably linked with previous, over-the-top pastichey kind of performances (wai halo there, League of Gentlemen), with the result that I never ever see them as the character, just the actor. So, you know - Mycroft was probably my least favourite character on the show.

But this story? Rocked my fucking socks. Dear heavens. Just GORGEOUS, and layered, and incisive, and troubling, and unexpectedly touching. Love. It.

I enjoyed it very much! Especially their very different voices! So much of Sherlock in particular's characterisation came through in how you pitched his voice, it was a joy to listen to! Thank you! :D

Was listening to this one while exercising today, which was a bit of a mistake since the story was so unsettling! I think my face was contorted with strain from the exercise and the "oh, that's not very pleasant Sherlock!" that kept popping into my head.

It was pretty amusing to hear wee!Sherlock without your customary mature!Sherlock drawl - very distinctive choice! I really quite liked who you weaved Mycroft in this one, somewhat distant and disdainful yet strangely attached to Sherlock, especially the scene where Mycroft threw a file on his subordinate's desk and told him to deal with it -- chilly!!

tl;dr Great read! I enjoyed it!
